For some, November signifies growing hair on your upper lip. For basketball fans, it's the return of the NBA.
For me, it's the opportunity to head over to Draftstreet and play NBA daily salary cap contests.
NBA leagues are really easy to get into, and don't require a ton of research or time, compared to the daily grind of baseball.

Daily contests offer various formats that vary in prize pool structure, contest participant size, and length. Some examples of the types of contests you'll see at Draftstreet:
- 200+ entry GPP's (Guaranteed Prize Pool) that allows contestants to enter multiple (and different) entries into the same contest.
- 100-entry GPP double-up format. The top 50 take down double the entry fee. Minus the rake, of course
- Head-to-head winner-take-all. Don't forget the rake.
The rake is usually 10%, depending on the contest entry amount.
I prefer double-ups with as large of an entry pool as possible. Draftstreet regularly offers at least two larger-sized GPP contests daily, with entry amounts ranging from $5-$20.
The double-ups provide the least variance, which is generally a good thing. Unless you want to hit the proverbial jackpot, these are the leagues to get into.
Coming up in the next NBA installment, I'll talk about the different strategies you can use to select your lineups.
